D.C. 08/11

Mother nature didn’t want me to go on this trip to D.C. in August. We flew out the day after that random D.C. earthquake and landed just hours before the news warnings of Hurricane Irene hit, evacuating most of the east coast. The storm cut our 3 day trip into half, BUT we squeezed a lot in and had a great trip despite it all.
And I must say, it was pretty cool to be there for the opening week of the historic MLK Jr. Memorial.

P.S. This woman was standing in front of the White House next to secret service agents and she just had that Hillary Clinton look about her. Like someone I should know. So I’m curious, do we know her? Should we know her???? ☺
